About Me:

being a part of the Ride:Well tour for summer '09 and am super excited about this opportunity!

I have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bicycle across America to raise funds and awareness for Blood:Water Mission, an organization that helps underdeveloped communities in Africa establish clean-water wells, latrines, and health clinics. We will be stopping in communities and churches to talk about the water and blood crises in Africa and enlist people in active support of Blood:Water Mission.

Would you please consider sacrificing financially as I sacrifice physically for this cause? In order to go I need to raise $4,895. I will meet my fundraising goal, if 100 of my friends and/or family donate $50 each.

The rainy days are less documented. Colder. Windy. No photos.
No photos of the way rainwater collects inside the valleys of a fumble strip.

NUMB

July 2, 2009

Loving(ton), New Mexico

This morning my teammates (namely Erin White) bestowed upon me the award of “awesomeness” for my efforts on our bike ride yesterday. It consisted of water bottles and Gatorade bottles duct-taped together in a sculptural-cactus-looking-form. (photo of piece will follow soon). :)
Yesterday we rode approx. 110 miles. The first 20-or-so miles consisted of an 8,650 ft mountain. I made it and it was amazing.

I myself am sometimes mundane and sometimes kitsch, and if you made me very large, I suppose people would want to take pictures next to me, too :) If you wanted to send me larger pic for your R:WT bio, you could. The one I have for you is small. The original factors to be a bit larger than the compressed one on our Network, right? Or, you could pick a larger, different pic. At the moment, I have a few action pics (like Brian jumping out of an airplane), but the best shots I have are mugs plus shoulders. If you're still confused, I'll just send you the bios and let you pick something with the tone and color to match what's already there. Hope that explains it ... if not, please let me know! Tx, Andy
