Jesse & I were privileged to be a part of the van recovery team last night. That meant we got in at three in the morning. All the others were going to be rolling out at 7 to beat the heat. We decided that for our own good we weren't going to be able to start the ride with everyone else. We slept in the van until lunch when we joined the rest of the team.

Today the van broke down just after lunch. I am not going to go into detail about all of that because I am sure the others will. I would however like to make mention of a few amazing people that helped us along the way.

I can’t believe it’s here. We are currently driving out west toward California. We just pulled out of the Cenex station in Sterling, CO. It’s starting to look less and less like the plains states that I am from. Trust me, rolling hills look differently when you realize you are going to have to ride your bike up and down them all day in about a week. We’ll get through it though.
