I love thinking of you as a war buddy. Thanks for your words and example Don.
You're right about transitioning forward. It's happening that way and I am thankful for it. Your video was amazing by the way. Thanks for taking the time...
Don - Just a note to tell you how much my family has appreciated your blog postings. I am Jessica Abt's Aunt Sandy. I live in Eugene, Oregon. My mother (Jessica's grandmother) lives in Florida and does not "do computers". So, I have been compiling blog posts and pictures in a word document for my Mom. I am up to 41 pages. I "snail mail" a couple pages every few days to keep Mom informed of the bike tour. Since Jessica is a woman of few words .... at least when it comes to her blog, the majority of my document has come from your twitter page. Thanks again for keeping us informed. I look forward to your final postings and your follow-up report.
i just wanted to say i'm so excited that you came to Tyler. My friend Amy, who's a missionary in Africa told me to read Blue Like Jazz, and eventually bought it for me. I was actually in the middle of reading it when I saw you were coming to Tyler. I have also been to Africa and have left a piece of my heart there. Seeing those pictures reminded me of my brothers and sisters over there. I've been saving to go back and was so glad I could help give to such a wonderful cause. I loved the Bob stories and I wanna throw a parade where everyone participates and no one watches! I'm praying for you and the whole team. Thank you for doing what God asks.
It was such a blessing to have you and them bike tour @ Second Little Rock this weekend. I don't think I will ever forget the "Bob stories"! May we all become a little more like "Bob". Thanks again and blessings on your way.....
Hi Don, my name is MIranda and I'm an American Missionary working for Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship in South Africa. I happened to pick up 'Blue Like Jazz' the other day in the church office and began to read. I got about halfway through it that day. The next morning I decided to look up 'Donald Miller' online (I like to know 'who' I'm reading) and found out you are on the ride. What was so interesting to me is that my best friend of 14 years (Matthew Williams) is riding with you and his picture was on your website. Small world! I'm alomst done with the book and I must say it's hit home where I am lately so many times. It's been really good for me at this point. Guess God has perfect timing even in the books I pick up. Have a great ride!
