Ride:Well Lead

I have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bicycle across America to raise funds and awareness for Blood:Water Mission, an organization that helps underdeveloped communities in Africa establish clean-water wells, latrines, and health clinics. We will be stopping in communities and churches to talk about the water and blood crises in Africa and enlist people in active support of Blood:Water Mission.
Would you please consider sacrificing financially as I sacrifice physically for this cause?

Announcement: I will be traveling across the country again as part of the Leadership staff for the R:W Tour '09. I am currently responsible for helping with the planning for this year's R:W Tour. I have been helping out in the office making sure everything will be ready to go this summer when we hit the road.

About Me:
I have been involved with Venture Expeditions the past 6 years. I have hiked the Superior Hiking Trail, Bicycled across Thailand, Trekked through the Himalayas in Bhutan, hike Pike's Peak, Bicycled the East Coast, and was a part of the 2008 Ride:Well Bike Tour.

I joined the Ride:Well team because I believe in the cause and wanted to offer my support to others that were taking a step of faith to do something adventurous, that was beyond anything they have done before!

Life on the Road...trying to stay on the road.

So I don't blog much, but here is a shot. I have been asked by some people (Troy Groves) to keep them updated and will hopefully be able to share how things are going...

I left home (Minnesota) on June 8, a little over two weeks ago. We drove the support vehicle (Mother Falcon) and the trailer out to Long Beach to meet the team for training days. The trip out was an endeavor, we drove through the night Monday and ended up making it to Zion National park on Tuesday afternoon. We couldn't camp at… Continue

Some Thoughts...on Life.

Today, I find myself wrestling with various thoughts on life. I find myself comparing the way life is lived out around me, and how I long for it to be something more. So many people live life under the constant pressure to keep up with those around them. It could be something as small as putting food on the table, and paying the electric bill, or it can be something that makes it looks like you have it going on, by having the best looking yard in the neighborhood, or having the newest Iphone or… Continue

Getting ready to head west....

Today is Jesse, Brianne, and I's last full day in Minnesota. We are packing everything up and heading out west tomorrow around noon.

I just returned to the office with the extended version of the support vehicle. The van was getting a new hitch put on it, so we can pull the trailer. Once Aaron dropped me off at the shop where the van was, I drove over to Absolute Trailer Sales to pick up our sweet 6x12 white trailer that they donated for the tour. We did a quick fix on a couple lights and made… Continue

I'm doin well. Still workin at Target, but now at their campus in Brooklyn Park which is closer to home. It's nice that you could transfer and work closer to home, too. I heard about this cause through a friend who donates, so I thought I'd check it out and came across your page. I'm jealous of all your adventures:) How lucky are you!

I thought you looked familiar. You were my favorite Barista! You made the best Hazelnut Lattes:) It's great that you're doing this. Sounds like a fantastic time. Glad everything is well with you!

Drew, we can find places to stay here in Frisco for Monday night if you need them. It's north of Red Oak, though, not east like Terrell is.

Raquel Mull, Socorro, NM here. I know you were to be in Capitan - there is a sweet, coherent, faithful 99 year old woman at the nursing home here who lived in Capitan most of her life. She would like to know whose ranch you are staying at - she was a school teacher and probably taught the father of your friend!!! Hozho, (Navajo meaning harmony) Raquel
