About Me:
I have been learning that the world needs more heaven in it, and since Christ has allowed me to be his, I have the privilege of spreading his peace through our world. What that looks like is caring for the oppressed, the poor, the afflicted. This tour is an effort to make a difference, no matter how small, in someone's life who desperately needs resources to live.

I have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bicycle across America to raise funds and awareness for Blood:Water Mission, an organization that helps underdeveloped communities in Africa establish clean-water wells, latrines, and health clinics. We will be stopping in communities and churches to talk about the water and blood crises in Africa and enlist people in active support of Blood:Water Mission.

Would you please consider sacrificing financially as I sacrifice physically for this cause? In order to go I need to raise $4,895. I will meet my fundraising goal, if 100 of my friends and/or family donate $50 each.

The beauty and the bruise.

So far on the tour we have been hit with extreme blessings and extreme challenges. We’ve seen Jacob swell up like a balloon, we’ve seen people stay on their bikes even when they can’t seem to go further. We’ve seen people fall on the pavement, and we’ve seen beautiful scenery on the side of it. We’ve had sunburns, and free ice cream from strangers. We’ve seen people hold on to their money for dear life, and we seen poor high school students give all the money in their bank accounts. We’ve slept… Continue

Its not the size of the dog, but how easily that dog can get stuck in your spokes

Dogs either love me a ton, or they hate me a ton...I can't decide which. I am however, sure of one thing, dogs are most definitely attracted to the glistening of my bike swooshing through the farm country of Ohio, where fences don't make good neighbors. I have been chased three times this month, by giant dogs with fangs the size of saber-tooth tigers. On my most recent attack, a dog sprinted at me and I squirted it with my water bottle, and it got scared and ran back home. Thank you, man at the… Continue

Please post this somewhere in a Network blog:

"Let us become tired at the end of the year, let us sell our unneeded distractions, let us lose track of sitcoms in order that someone may live, in order that they may know the Father's great love."

My comment:

Thanks, Josh! Great heart for missions/re-creation. I believe R:WT will be a good fit for you.
