Just finished up an 80 mile ride, putting us at the longest mileage to date. Day 4 will hopefully bring more flat terrain in order to get through our 110 mile ride in time for a program at a church in Parker, AZ. Fortunately today's ride was not as eventful as the past two days for the team. Heat stroke. Check. Road rash. Check. Broken tail bone. Check. In case you weren't up to date on all of those events, I encourage you to read the blogs from the other riders. I have a feeling mine will be few and far between :) Someone asked me today if the scenery was beautiful. hmm... all I got to say is where are the trees???? It's pretty much what you would think of the desert but with dirt colored mountains in the background. I fear I'm showing my Floridian ignorance a bit. Actually, it is kind of pretty and I lied, there are trees. We rode through Joshua Tree today, so I saw a couple of those. Don hung his bike in one. He's all about the photo ops :) Oh yeah, and we saw pet llamas today. That was cool and random. Exhaustion is setting in, so I think that's it for now. Thanks to everyone for their prayers and encouraging words!! It means a lot!
